NHS Dental charges to rise April 1st

Charges in England will rise by an average of 2.3% from 1 April 2025.

Unfortunately we have no control over fees applied to NHS charges, these prices are set every year by the government. The new charges were released this week by the labour government to come into effect on April 1st, all check up from this date will pay the new band charges. They will not apply to you if you already have ongoing treatment such as fillings, dentures, crowns etc. They will effect those who are due to have a check up appointment with us from 1st April 2025.

The new charges will become the following:

Band 1: £27.40

Band 2: £75.30

Band 3: £326.70

If you are exempt or are unsure if you are exempt from paying NHS fees, you can find the information here on the NHS website. We have linked the new NHS April charges poster below, please find our new poster around the practice regarding these charges.

NHS Charges Poster 2025 (1)

As mentioned, these prices are not controlled by us as a practice, your NHS dentist has no control over what fees are to be paid. However, we are not increasing our private fees in line with the NHS price hike, as a practice we want to ensure all our dental charges are affordable for our demographic. We are not due to increase these in the near future.

We apologise to all our NHS patients, we understand these times are difficult with increasing bills within households and we now have to face increasing NHS fees too.
