Invisalign Treatment

We have put together a full breakdown of the treatments you expect to receive during your Invisalign journey, from start to finish. Each one of these treatments are included in the price we offer here at the practice.

We are proud to offer Invisalign treatment to the Fylde Coast here at St Annes Dental Clinic.

Invisalign treatment consists of a series of nearly invisible, removable aligners that you will change weekly through the process of your treatment. Each set of aligners are individually manufactured for your teeth through our ITero scanner that will be carried out at the start of your treatment. As you replace each aligner you will begin to see movements little by little, week by week – until they have reached the final straight position prescribed by your dentist.

What’s more, a virtual 3D treatment plan (ClinCheck) shows the series of movements your teeth will go through over the course of the treatment. This allows you to see upfront what your teeth are expected to like at the end of the treatment. From the results of the ClinCheck, your custom-made, clear aligners are produced especially for you.

If you’re ready for a smile that transforms your appearance, Invisalign is your answer. Although there are many choices out there, no other treatment works as comfortably as Invisalign. Invisalign is the best way to transform your smile without interfering with your day-to-day life.

Removable Retainers

At the end of any orthodontic treatment, whether it is Invisalign or previous NHS orthodontic treatment, you will be given clear removable retainers. Removable retainers are an important part of your orthodontic treatment to keep teeth in the final position for life. We always include them once Invisalign treatment is complete. Your dentist will discuss how important retention is during the course of your treatment as teeth will want to move back to their original position.

Removable retainers must be removed when eating and cleaned daily, we advise to wear removable retainers on a daily/night basis once treatment has been completed.

If you require a replacement, this will cost £92.00 and an appointment will be needed to carry out impressions of current teeth position.

Bonded Retainers

Bonded retainer, also known as a permanent retainer, will be offered as part of your Invisalign treatment to offer full security of final teeth position. A bonded retainer is a fixed thin metal wire positioned behind the teeth, this will be glued in place using composite resin. Bonded retainers are usually placed from canine to canine on either the upper arch and lower arch (or both). Many opt for this type of treatment at the end to stop teeth from shifting back into their original position. However you don’t have to go ahead with this type of treatment at the end of your Invisalign treatment if you wish.

Bonded retainers are designed for lasting years with the right care and can be removed if you desire. If you have had orthodontic treatment elsewhere or require a replacement, this will cost £250.00. Removable retainers will be designed to go over permanent retainers once fitted.

ITero Scan & Photographs

During the smile assessment stage, a professional scan (ITero) will be carried out to record the current position of the teeth and bite. This will be done by one of our qualified dental nurses on the Invisalign team, she will discuss everything that will take place during this appointment. The ITero scan allows the dentist to create custom made Invisalign trays for you to wear weekly during treatment and also provides a mock up of what your life changing smile can look like in just a few months of treatment. This will be discussed during the ClinCheck stage.

Photographs will also be taken during the smile assessment stage to record and plan your perfect smile. We will also take photographs at the end of treatment to show you real before and after results.

No photographs throughout treatment will be shared without full consent. If you do allow us to share, we share to those on our social media and website who are considering Invisalign.
