National Smile Month is a charity campaign all about championing the benefits of having good oral health and promoting the value of a healthy smile.
Between 12 May and 12 June 2025, the Oral Health Foundation will be raising awareness of important health issues and ready to put a smile on everybody’s face and here at St Annes Dental Clinic we are helping take part!
We are wanting to make a positive difference to the oral health for the people in St Annes as this has been our goal for over 25 years.
Why support is needed
Maintaining a healthy smile can be simple but for so many this can be very difficult and we understand but are here to help you feel confident again.
Despite the many improvements in oral health over the last 40 years, inequalities continue to be a burden for countless individuals.
Throughout smile month we are aiming to share as much knowledge to our patients and the community around us to help people understand the importance of oral health.
Our key messages
During National Smile Month, we are promoting four key messages for better oral health:
- Brush teeth for two minutes, last thing at night and one other time during the day, with a fluoride
- Clean between your teeth with interdental brushes or floss, and use fluoride mouthwash every day.
- Cut down how much and how often you have sugary foods and drinks.
- Visit a dentist regularly. We advise at least twice per year.
