
Lauren joined the practice in October 2019 as a trainee dental nurse, she achieved her Level 3 Diploma Qualification and became a registered Dental Nurse in November 2022.
In December 2022, Lauren took over the role of Dental Nurse Educator at the practice and holds responsibility of mentoring our new starters aiming to achieve their dental nurse qualification. Lauren provides thorough training, guidance and continuous support for our trainees to ensure they become independent on their journey. To support her role, Lauren has recently achieved her Peer Mentoring Skills qualification in May 2025. Alongside this, Lauren monitors all nursing standards and infection control by carrying out routine surgery inspections to ensure all nurses are meeting guidelines and expectations highlighted by the GDC.
In May 2023 Lauren completed an impression taking course to allow her to take impressions to help make dental appliances for our patients. In September 2023, Lauren went onto achieve her Level 3 in Dental Radiography and Radiation which allows her to safely carry out dental radiographs within the practice.
In late 2024 Lauren achieved her Level 4 Advanced Oral Health Practitioner qualification . This allows her to hold her own oral health clinics with a range of adults and children, she shares her knowledge and demonstrates the importance of a good oral hygiene routine. Since gaining this qualification, it allows Lauren to visit nurseries and schools to provide oral health presentations and teach from a young age.
Lauren is currently considering future qualifications to continue her professional development.
